Canoe Trip on the Delaware river in the Delaware Water Gap National Park 2017

On the weekend of September 15, 16, 17, 2017 we met at the cabin, loaded the bus, hitched the canoe trailers to two big SUVs and went down the road to Delaware Water Gap National Park.   We camped at Dingman's Ferry Friday night and put in there the next day.  Saturday was a spectacular day for canoeing! We had canoes and kayaks in a large floatilla and we put 22 miles of the Delaware River behind us.  Along the way we saw a bald eagle, several great blue heron, snowy egrets, and turtles sunning themselves on a log.  All in all it was a glorious day, Troop 78 at its finest!
