Dear Scouts and Parents of Troop 78:                                                               

The Troop 78 hoagie sale is underway !!!

The hoagie sale benefits the entire Troop by raising funds for program, equipment, and supplies.  It is also an opportunity for the boys to accumulate funds in their scout accounts for use toward camping trips, summer camp at Horseshoe Scout Reservation as well as the Disney, Canada, and other high adventure trips.  A Scout earns approximately $2 credit to their account for each hoagie sold.

Important dates:

Friday March 8th: all orders due, orders can be taken from now through Friday March 8th. 

Friday March 15th: Parents prep hoagies at the cabin at 7PM

Saturday March 16th: Parents and scouts assemble the hoagies at the cabin at 7AM

Saturday March 16th: Scouts pick up their hoagies at 9AM at the cabin

Saturday March 16th: Scouts deliver the hoagies

We would like to see every scout sell at least 10 hoagies!!  The price of one hoagie is $7.00.  Payment is to be secured with the order.

Checks are to be made payable to: “Willistown Troop 78 BSA”.

All orders must be turned in by Friday March 8th at the Troop meeting to Kathi Schallack, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Parents are asked to help in this large undertaking by joining in preparing the hoagies during the troop meeting Friday night March 15th from 7 to 9 PM and/or assembling the hoagies with your scout on Saturday morning March 16th at 7AM. Both sessions are held at the Troop cabin.  It’s only through parental help that we are able to make the enormous number of hoagies that we expect the Scouts will sell.

Please check the dates you are available to help and return the form with the hoagie order form and money on Friday March 8th at the Troop meeting.

The hoagie sale is a labor intensive, team building, laughter sharing project.  It will be easily completed in these two quick 2 hour sessions, WITH EVERYONE’S HELP!




Hoagies will be assembled at the cabin by the parents on Saturday morning March 16th at 7:00 AM. 

Scouts must pick-up their orders by 9:00 AM Saturday morning for delivery that day.

As a reminder, we only make Italian Hoagies… with or without onions. We also provide containers of hot or sweet peppers on the side if customers want them.
We will honor special requests, HOWEVER, please try to keep special requests at a minimum. Special requests slow down the preparation process.

Please fill out and cut off the order form totals at the bottom of your order list along with the parent sign-up sheet and return them on Friday March 8th during the Troop meeting to Kathi Schallack.
